I am pleased to be able to do what little I can to support our military men and women involved in this "War On Terrorism" that has now been joined. I have already been contacted by many service members and their families regarding supplementary equipment choices for survival and self-defense and am happy to assist as best I can.
Please first check my Care Package and Equipment Suggestions for Deployed Military page as it answers the most common questions I receive. If this page doesn't answer your questions, anyone in the active military or subject to call up from the Reserves or the National Guard, or their immediate family members, may contact me for help with supplementary equipment questions. Address all queries to Doug Ritter.
Please note that I cannot design you a survival kit from scratch. Information on developing your own personal survival kit is what this Web site is all about and there's plenty of information on that topic provided free for your use. I can offer advice on how to upgrade your existing survival gear, and possible sources for some of this gear. It helps if when you contact me you can provide information on the environment you expect to be operating in, as that can impact your selection of gear and options, and a description of your existing or anticipated issued gear.
